Complete Neuro Rehab offers a first class Hydrotherapy service with a limited number of sessions available weekly. Each session is always run by a Physiotherapist with additional staff present as needed to suit each client. The hydrotherapy pool is very large and incredibly well equipped with both a hoist and a ceiling track hoist fitted for easy access. There is a viewing gallery so family members can also view the session without having to get into the water. The pool is kept at a constant temperature of 35 degrees with a life guard present at all times.
The pool is fitted with mood and sensory lights with the added options of projecting stimulating images and patterns on to the walls.There are speakers fitted in the pool so that music can be played during the session, this can be anything that the patient or family want to listen to from pop music to natural sounds.
The pool also has several private changing facilities complete with individual wet rooms, changing plinth, ceiling track hoist and therapy chair which can be taken through to the poolside. This means that each patient can take all the time they need to change after the session without the worry of other clients using the same facilities.
Hydrotherapy is very beneficial for many patients with neurological conditions, it provides an opportunity for patients who have minimal or no ability to weight-bear on land. As the water supports your body it allows patients to load joints and muscles which can help them to regain movements that might not have been possible on land alone. Being in the water is very relaxing and can also provide many patients their only opportunity to experience independence with their mobility, and ‘freeness’ in their joints and muscles.
