There are many conditions that may be considered rare neurological conditions such as: Rett Syndrome, Down’s Syndrome, Muscular Dystrophy and many more.
Treatment plans will depend on the severity of the condition and our therapists are highly specialised in treating young adults, children and babies with these conditions where physical movements have been affected.
Some common treatments include:
· Hands on physiotherapy treatment
· Exercise therapy using a variety of equipment that meets your child’s therapy and play needs
· Treadmill therapy – using the LiteGait or AlterG anti-gravity treadmill
· Electrical Stimulation or Functional ElectricalStimulation to help with sensory feedback, muscle strengthening, circulation and timing of movement
· Postural advice
