Transverse Myelitis

Transverse Myelitis is a neurological condition that is caused by inflammation across both sides of a segment of the spinal cord. The damage that is caused by the inflammation can disturb the communications between the nerves in the spinal cord and the rest of the body.

Physiotherapy can help with rehabilitation following physical disability as a consequence of Transverse Myselitis. Physiotherapy can help people, even with severe paralysis to become more functionally independent. At CN Physio we are also able to use modern rehabilitation technology such as FES for exercise stimulation and drop foot stimulators to enhance function and quality of life.
